Well, it is yet another assurance that you are working with a company that you can trust to behave in an ethical and professional manner. To join the REC ( The Recruitment and Employment Federation ), we must meet their most stringent standards. In addition to the checks on company status and references carried out by a membership team, agencies must meet the following criteria:
- We must have a complaints procedure
- We must have an equal opportunities procedure
- We must be aware of, and comply with, advertising regulations.
- We must be aware of, and comply with, industry legislation governing business contracts.
And just to be sure, to be sure ….in 2007, the REC introduced compulsory inspections to ensure members do indeed work to their standards. Their Inspection Team operates nationwide, and 10% of corporate members are selected for inspection each year. If we fail, we are out!
